Amy L. Datla is a licensed mental health counselor and licensed marriage and family therapist specializing in individual, couples and family therapy and she maintains a private practice in Tampa, Florida.
With over 10 years experience as a mental health counselor, and as a graduate of Georgia State University specializing in trauma, depressive and anxiety disorders and addictions, she is currently serving as private practitioner working with a broad spectrum of clients. Amy has advanced training as a couples therapist in the Gottman Method and Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy.
Amy is an integrative therapist who incorporates a variety of techniques, including, mindfulness and solution- focused strategies. Her therapeutic approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges. She integrates complementary methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. With compassion and understanding, she works with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing.
Amy earned her Master’s degree in Professional Counseling from Georgia State University in 2003. Amy has been licensed in the state of Florida as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (MH 8831) since 2006. She has been licensed in the state of Florida as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (MT 2809) since 2013. Amy earned her Certified Addictions Professional certification in 2008 and has been a National Certified Counselor since 2003.

Amy has been licensed in the state of Florida as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor since 2006. She has been licensed in the state of Florida as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist since 2013. Amy earned her Certified Addictions Professional certification in 2008 and has been a National Certified Counselor since 2003.
Amy earned her Distance Credentialed Counselor (DCC) certification in 2014. This has prepared her to provide telemental health services, including, therapy via encrypted e- mail and video conferencing and telephone.
Amy has been providing Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Seeking Safety treatment to individuals and/ or groups for approximately 5 years.
Amy has completed all 3 levels of training in the Gottman Method, and has completed the Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT) 4 day externship and is currently obtaining advanced training in EFT.
Amy completed the Basic EMDR training in 2016.
